I started sailing when I was 12 with my father. From dinghies and keelboats to cruising boats & racing yachts for years of inshore & offshore racing.

I decided that I wanted to get into the industry at a young age, so I moved to the Isle of Wight to study boatbuilding & worked at a yard in Cowes on racing boats.

Next onto a classic Swan 65' ketch where I took over as Skipper when I was 20. After some cruising and racing to and from the the Carribean and most of the regattas for a season, I raced her around the world in the Expo '98 rally.

3 years on a boat and it was time for some land-based work. I continued to work as a boatbuilder at various yards before joining the team at Green Marine in 2004. Then in 2007 I became a Project Manager dealing with the technical demands of the Volvo 70, TP52, IMOCA builds and refits plus many complex components including a custom lifting keel box for a Wally Cento, foils, daggerboards and rudders for yachts of up to 85m.

I joined FIBRE Mechanics in 2018 and fitted straight in with a familiar team - building components and composite craft.
